This is what Congressman Parker Griffith said when he announced his switch from the Democrat to the Republican party, as seen on this video clip on Real Clear Politics.

Griffith's switch is another sign that political winds are shifting, and Republcans could have a much better year in 2010. The timing is of Griffith's announcement is interesting.

You might as well apologize to your children and grandchildren (and great-grandchildren, if you have them) now. The Obama bailouts, stimulus spending, government take-over of health care, cap & tax, and "guilt payments" to other countries for having successful and productive industry has created a staggering amount of deficits that the next three generations may never pay off. Here is a chart prepared by the Heritage Foundation that llustrates past, current and future deficits. 

Sorry, kids, hopefully your generation can straighten this mess out.

Want to know how government-run health care works? A few months ago U. S. House Republican leader John Boehner and his staff came up with this flow chart to illustrate the Democrats' health care plan.

While the Senate bill just passed at 1 a.m. Monday is different than the House version illustrated here, the concept is the same. If you think dealing with private health insurance companies and HMOs is a nightmare, "you ain't seen nothin' yet."

Take a good look at this editorial cartoon. The message is current and applies to the state of our nation and how Barack H. Obama and Democrat leaders in Congress see fit to addres our economic challenges.

Did I mention that the cartoon appeared in the Chicago Tribune . . . in 1934? Funny how our leaders don't learn from the past. I suppose those in charge now think that FDR was too conservative.

The corruption in ACORN that conservatives have long known about is just now becoming general public knowledge, thanks to these undercover videos. Both Houses of Congress overwhelmingly voted on a bipartisan basis to cut off Federal funding of ACORN.
